I have learned recently of some shocking and appalling business practices in which Hobby Lobby stores enforce strict extremist Christian religious beliefs on their employees and potential new hires. The corporate giant even won a Supreme Court case which was highly publicized in 2014.
The information I discovered was not easy to find via Google, which suggests that the company has paid off the search engines to prevent the bad press from being easy to access. Through a considerable amount of digging, I uncovered many appalling cases of horrendous extremist views being imposed on female employees and potential new hires.
It is public knowledge that Hobby Lobby won it's Supreme Court case regarding birth control and the Affordable Care Act. If you dig further you will encounter many more nuggets of disturbing cases of religious extremism and discrimination against female employees.
One such case is a mother who asked for leave time to have her baby. Five months later when her baby was due she put in for the time off- only to be told that she was going to be terminated for taking the time off. Hobby lobby also prevented her from access to unemployment insurance, by falsely claimed events and fraud in its report regarding her termination.
Another case saw a woman who worked for the retail giant for 7 years fired after filling for divorce. She did not realize that filing for divorce was going to affect her employment opportunities with Hobby Lobby. She told the press that her reason for divorcing her husband of 6 years was "because he had a severe drinking problem, and had become violent and aggressive" the retail chain claims their "religious right" under the freedom of religion amendment in the Constitution. They said "we can't have a woman who would divorce her husband in our ranks... Such a harlot would stain our moral standards" they went to extremes of referring to the woman as a whore and adulterer, quoting biblical Scripture to support the extremist views. They also made the ludicrous claim that "she wouldn't have to divorce him, had she performed her 'womanly duties' to her husband so that he would not resort to drinking and violence."
These articles are not particularly easy to find, but they are there. Another disturbing article being passed around the smaller online news circuits regards the retail giant's hiring process for women, requiring all potential new hires of the female variety to submit to an extra screening process, including highly invasive questions regarding her marital status and sexual activity. Also, pregnant unmarried women and un-wed mothers are barred from employment.
Hobby Lobby, in addition to the appalling practices mentioned above forces all new hires, male and female, to sign away their right to sue the company. This practice is resultant in fewer of these horrible cases coming to the view of the majority public eye.
I am sending a personal call to action to my watchers and friends to boycott this extremist corporate retailer.

Profile and gallery clean up project
I have been working on cleaning up and discarding old unnecessary stuff in all areas of my life, and my online presence will be no exception. I will soon be reorganizing and cleaning up my gallery on this profile as well as migration of some works to my account focused only on occult and mystical art. I will still post cosplay, nerdy, fanart, Kuromanga and random photography here. I also may decide simply to cross post some works rather than remove them from this profile. Additionally I will soon begin the long process of getting the Kuromanga chapters RE-WRITTEN and updated slowly over time. Many are in need of fleshing out or completely being totally re written. New content will soon follow.
Kuromanga: Otherworld_notes
"Alternate" is a standalone chapter in the Otherworld saga. Taking place in the year 2065 on Earth the story focuses on a Nekochi named Avren.
Waking in 2065 after being teleported through a Void portal, he finds himself in a post apocalyptic world. He wakes in a hospital in India- which has progressed to a kind of superpower like the modern US. Much of the world he knew is now forever changed by war, and the failure of the Alien Rights Movement. Natural disasters and nuclear bombs left much of the US, Mexico and China uninhabitable. California and Japan were both largely consumed by the sea as massive earthquakes and tsunamis ravaged the "r
shit I think is overrated or annoying
Aka this is a rant
So five games, series or fandoms that drive me up a wall.
First:
World of Warcraft
This one is in a unique position that I like the character types and the artwork produced by fans... I just never personally got into mmorpg games...
So it's not as much that I find it annoying just overrated.
Star Wars
I grew up with the original trilogy, and personally don't care for the newer stuff that much... I hate how over comeercialized it has become. So annoying.
Steven Universe
The art style I find cringey, same with it's fan base
Five Nights at Freddy's
I hate this game. I hate this game...
It's annoying, I don't care for it's
Best of 2018- self feature
A lot of folks are doing this as a multi-paneled art post... I can't do that easily on my device... So have a journal version. These are only drawings...
Chosen not for artistic quality as much as I just like looking at them the most...
